"The passions driving us to sin get stronger when we fight against them on our own, and the clarity of right and wrong found in the law increases the passions all the more. Only Christ's healing power can save us in this battle."
Jesus please help me....

Response to Clergy transfer
Fr. Shebaly, Indian Orthodox Herald
No Vicars as an Alternative to Clergy Transfer
I think I have a better solution to this topic. To avoid split
in parish levels, why don’t we try without clergy in our parishes.
Here in America, Diocesan Bishops also have no moral courage to take a stand against Priests, because they don’t look after the
priests’ welfare. The priests here in US live by their own.
In Marthoma and CSI Churches, the Bishops take care of
their priests and they transfer them after every 3 year term ends.
Each parish of these Churches in US spend more than $75,000 to
keep an achen for them. They could move to any parishes without
any financial insecurity.
So why do we need an achen in all parishes as their vicar.
All the 6 six days achens are working hard elsewhere to meet their
both ends and they see no fancy in playing politics with the laity in
parish levels. Just after the services they are in a hurry to be back
just like the laity for work. They do need rest, shopping and family
get together.
So please run the Malankara Orthodox parishes in US
without Vicars and play politics their own and keep them without
splitting. If possible, please avoid Bishops too, because they are
too expensive to keep in US diocese. We have to think about this
seriously. We are in America and this is America.

Introduction to the Jesus Prayer
A paraphrasing:
To learn who and what Jesus is, is to learn also how one must act. And to learn how one must act, is to learn how one must think The early fathers (St. Barsanuphius and John the Prophet) recommend abandonment of one's own will, spiritual direction, examination of conscience and invocation of the name of Jesus.
"For us, the weak, the only way is to take refuge in the name of Jesus"
John the Prophet
We should use this prayer (Jesus Prayer: Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner) as an accessory to our spiritual life.

Great Tuesday
Have you ever en counted situations when u try to change your life for Christ, and for whatever reason bad things start to happen. It happens to me all the time... and more than likely it happens to you too. I think it the Devil trying to rip us away from Christ. We must stay steady to the task at hand and not sucumb to the Devil's ploys and tricks. Hope everyone is well and during this Holy Week we keep in mind our sinful nature that made our Master sacrifice Himself for us.

This Passion Week we should remember...
I believe that this week, not only should we remember and commemorate Our Lord making the voluntary sacrifice for us and experiencing ever form of suffering for ou rsakes, but also mourn our sinfulness that Jesus was saving us from.
